Recently, the innovative product Single-Port Endoscopic Surgical Robotic System of Shenzhen Edge Medical Co., Ltd. is approved by China NMPA.

　　This product consists of a doctor's console, a patient surgical platform, an image processing machine, a three-dimensional electronic abdominal endoscope, surgical instruments, and accessories. A multi degree of freedom surgical instrument with shoulder-elbow-wrist flexible hinge joint was designed based on the single-port endoscopic surgical system, achieving flexible and precise operation and large load capacity. When performing endoscopic surgery in the single-port manner, due to the multiple active degrees of freedom of the endoscope and surgical instruments, the surgical operation can be completed solely by relying on the movement of the surgical instrument in the patient’s abdominal cavity. The external positioning arm remains stationary during remote operation, which helps to avoid the risk of collision during surgery, improve the surgical refinement, reduce the number of abdominal openings and minimizing surgical trauma for patients.
